The store was on Main Street and is now the home of the Verchimak family.
It operated until approximately 1947. Roger Gilbert has a handbill
from 1938 which has amazing prices!  The store was part
of a chain (Better Food Stores) and was also a Sunoco service station.  Roger's
mother remembers shopping there very well, and Quentin Heller remembers going
there to buy candy when he was a kid.  Roger is sure it was very similar to
Lawall's store, but perhaps not as large.
